Witch – A magical character or book
Caraval – Stephanie Garber. This book just screams magic and illusions.
Werewolf – The perfect book to read at night
I don’t have many but I did read A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tehereh Mafi in one night.
Frankenstein – A book that truly shocked to you
I was honestly shocked by how much I loved Hunted by Meagan Spooner. I highly recommend if you’re into Beauty and the Beast retellings.
Devil – A dark, evil character
Definitely Brooklyn from the Merciless series by Danielle Vega.
Grim Reaper – a character that should’ve never died
I won’t say exactly who due to spoilers but it’s a character from Heartless by Marissa Meyer. If you know, you know.
Zombie – a book that made you hungry for more
The Disasters by M. K. England. This is a stand-alone but I wish there were more books.
Gargoyle – a character that you would protect at all costs
There’s so many!! But I will have to go with Adrian from Renegades by Marissa Meyer.
Vampire – a book that sucked the life out of you
This is going to be controversial but I have to go with A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I do understand the smut scenes but other than that I was underwhelmed and bored. Also it took too damn long to get to the famous chapter we see all over bookstagram.
Ghost – a book that still haunts you
This isn’t exactly a scary book but it is pretty messed up for a lack of better words Bleed Like Me by Christa Desir left me so flabbergasted at the end that I sort of hate it? (I don’t know how to explain it) trigger warning: self-harm, suicide
Demon – a book that really scared you
Unfortunately I have yet to read a book that truly frightened me but I’m open to any suggestions you may have.
Skeleton – a character you have a bone to pick with
Definitely Catherine’s mother from Heartless by Marissa Meyer. I could not stand her at all but in a way that means she was well written. She was meant to sort of lead Catherine’s downfall.
Mummy – a book you would preserve throughout time
I have two books for this. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll and So This is Love by Elizabeth Lim. Of course I had to go with these since Alice and Cinderella are some of my favorite characters ever.
Creepy Doll – a cover too scary to look at
I don’t think I have one, but if I do find one I will update this post.

Hope you enjoyed this Halloween Creatures Book Tag. Once again all credit for this tag goes to the original author so feel free to check them out. Also if you made it this far, consider yourself tagged 😊
