All About Halloween Book Tag

Hey bookworms! I’m so excited that Halloween is in just a FEW more days! Unfortunately, I still don’t have plans but that’s ok. Anyway, I saw this tag on kristinkravesbooks’ blog and decided to try it out 😊. Shall we get started?

What are your favorite Halloween movies?

I just did a post on this 🙈 but if I have to choose a top 3 I’d say Addams Family Valves, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Corpse Bride. I never get tired of there. They’re not entirely get around Halloween but do give off the spooky vibes.

What is your favorite Halloween book?

One book that I have a habit of reading around this time of year is Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven & Other Tales: A Graphic Novel. It has a few other of Poe’s short stories as well and I love the artwork for it.

What other Halloween books would you recommend?

l don’t know about you, but I tend to gravitate to more classic “horror” books during Halloween, so if that’s you I’d recommend The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White. A few others are Carrie by Stephen King and Mr. Sardonicus by Far Russell .

Do you own any Halloween ugly sweaters?

Unfortunately no, I don’t own any type of ugly sweater and don’t really see myself wearing any.

What are some of your favorite Halloween costumes?

Personally, I’ve only done boring costumes that I could make with my own clothes. Also I was Batman (not woman) for like 3-4 years in a row until about my senior year of high school that I did Castiel from Supernatural. However, I always get a kick out of seeing creative costumes that require you to think , like puns (my high school English teacher who just taped a paper saying “I love fans” on his chest – he was a ceiling fan). *I couldn’t find pictures from my Castiel costume :/

What are you doing for Halloween this year?

I pretty much have unconfirmed plans. A few friends and I had planned to have a potluck, watch spooky movies, and play games. However, we still need to confirm that since some of them work. If not, I’ll get dressed up in my favorite spooky dress and watch scary movies at home.

What is your favorite childhood Halloween memory?

Maybe the times I’ve actually gone to Halloween parties with my then best friend. We used to have such fun at her cousin’s Halloween/birthday parties. Damn… I miss that 😔😔.

I’ll be posting all this week leading up to Halloween. Hopefully that’ll get me more into the spooky spirit. Stay spooky my friends!
