Book Haul, Wrap Up

August Wrap Up & Birthday Haul

Hey bookworms!! Guess what? Today’s my birthday! Yay! Finally 21! I celebrated yesterday with family and friends and it’s was pretty great. Also I didn’t read much in August either but I did make an improvement since July.

August Wrap Up:

I read a grand total of 3 books this month although I did want to read more I just couldn’t figure out what I wanted to read next and next thing I knew the month was over.

The Furies by Katie Lowe | My rating: ☆☆.75 / 5 I got this arc a few months ago and barely got the chance to read it. There was so much I just wasn’t sure what was going on and to me it felt like there was no character development. You can read my full (spoiler-free) review here.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz | My rating: ☆☆☆☆ I was supposed to go watch this with friends but we couldn’t find time in our schedules so I decided I could just reread the book.

August Haul:

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus | I honestly thought this would be a sequel to One of Us is Lying but nope. The covers look so similar though.

Birthday Haul (Early September)

The Merciless II, III, & IV by Danielle Vega | I haven’t kept up with this series since the first book came out while I was in high school and my friend gave me the rest of the books in the series for my birthday.

The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton | I have seen this book online but never really paid attention to it, It does sound interesting and I’m excited to read it.

Well, that’s all folks! Hope you enjoy the rest of this labor day weekend. I’ll be in my room eating cake 🙂
