Top 5 Wednesday

T5W: February 6, 2019

Hello bookworms! Today we have another Top 5 Wednesday list for you. (T5W is a weekly tag in which you are given a prompt and are to select your  top 5 for that category; themes, books, characters, authors, etc. Prompts I use are from the Top 5 Wednesday group on Goodreads.)

This week’s prompt is –

Nostalgic Ships: Discuss the first fictional couples you ever got butterflies over, or couples you used to be really into when you were younger.

Oh gosh, where do I even start? I may not remember most of them but I will definitely try.

Edward and Bella, Twilight – Stephanie Meyer | I’m just going to let this  out first, but I shipped them so hard during the Twilight days. However, I must confess… I watched New Moon first then saw Twilight then read the books (like 5 times) then waited for the next 3 films. I know I was very backwards with it but honestly the first time I even heard of Twilight was when New Moon was in theaters. I begged my sister to take me and from there it all went downhill. Looking back I’m just like “oh gosh, why??” Since then I haven’t really read books about vampires. Sure I read something similar but hardly ever vampires. Thanks, Twilight. (not bashing on it really, just slightly embarrassed now that I think of how much of a fangirl I was)

Lucinda and Daniel, Fallen – Lauren Kate | As mentioned above, I did stray away from vampires but I was still under the same supernatural romance umbrella and yes, I do mean angels and demons. My neighbor gave me the first book and I was hooked. Fast forward to sophomore year in high school where I met a girl who was reading it too and that’s when I learned there was more than 1 book. However, I never got to finish the series and I don’t think I will. (Also, we don’t talk about the film based on the book. Just no.)

These ships go all the way back to 6th-8th grade. I know there’s more but I can’t remember at the time. I know they’ll eventually come to me.

This must’ve been much shorter than intended but that’s all I have for now. Until next time!
